Product variants allow you to manage multiple versions of the same product that differ by specific attributes like color, size, or style. Instead of creating separate products for each variation, you can organize them under one main product with different variants.

Understanding Product Variants
Example: A "T-shirt" product with variants for:
  • Color: Blue, Red, Black
  • Size: Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large
This creates variants like "Blue Small," "Red Medium," "Black Large," etc.
Setting Up Variant Attributes

Before creating variants, you need to define the attributes (like color, size) and their possible values:

Steps to Add Attributes:
  1. Go to Products and select the product you want to add variants to
  2. Tap the Variants tab (last tab)
  3. Tap the gray gear icon at the bottom left
  4. Add your attributes:
    • Create attribute names (e.g., "Color", "Size")
    • Add values for each attribute (e.g., Blue, Red, Green for Color)
    • Repeat for additional attributes

Auto-Save:
Attribute changes are saved automatically - no need to tap a save button.

Creating Product Variants

Once you have attributes set up, you can create individual variants:

Steps to Create a Variant:
  1. Edit the product and go to the Variants tab
  2. Tap the red plus (+) button
  3. Fill in the variant details:
    • Variant Name: Descriptive name for this specific variant
    • UPC/SKU: Unique identifier for the variant
    • Purchase & Selling Prices: Variant-specific pricing
    • Stock Levels: Critical stock and overstock limits
    • Attributes: Select the specific attribute combinations (e.g., Red + Medium)
  4. Tap Save Changes
Managing Existing Variants
Editing Variants

  2. Go to the Variants tab
  3. Tap on the variant you want to modify
  4. Make your changes and save
Deleting Attributes

To remove attribute values or entire attributes, use the trash icon next to each item in the attribute management screen.

Pro Tip:
Use variants to keep your product list organized while maintaining detailed inventory tracking for each variation. This is especially useful for businesses with large catalogs where products have multiple options.
