Instead of manually creating purchase orders, you can auto-generate a draft PO from products that are running low. Telesto finds all low-stock items for a specific supplier and builds the order for you.
This feature uses the critical stock level you set in each product's profile. Products are considered low stock when their current inventory is at or below this number.
Make sure your products have these two things configured:
- Critical stock level set in the product profile (this is your reorder threshold)
- Supplier assigned to the product via the linked suppliers section
Products without a critical stock level or without a linked supplier will not appear in the auto-generate results.
- Go to Purchase Orders
- Tap the wand icon (✦) in the top-right corner of the navbar
- In the popup, select the supplier you want to reorder from
- Tap Find Low Stock Items
Telesto will search for all products linked to that supplier where the current stock is at or below the critical level.
If low-stock items are found, you will see a list of products with:
- Stock (current quantity on hand, shown in red)
- Min (the critical stock level you configured)
- Quantity (pre-filled with the suggested reorder amount)
- Price (pre-filled from the product's purchase price)
You can uncheck any items you don't want to include, and adjust the quantity or price for each product. Use the Select / Deselect All checkbox at the top to quickly toggle all items.
- Choose the shipping location where the order will be delivered
- Tap Create PO
Telesto creates the purchase order with a Draft status and takes you back to the PO list.
Auto-generated purchase orders are created with the Draft status, shown as a gray dot in the PO list. This gives you a chance to review and adjust the order before sending it to your supplier.
The suggested quantity for each product is calculated as: critical stock level minus current stock. For example, if the critical level is 200 and you have 22 in stock, the suggested quantity will be 178.
- Only products marked as "To Buy" and linked to the selected supplier will appear
- The PO number is auto-assigned using your existing prefix and numbering sequence
- You can filter the PO list by Draft status to quickly find auto-generated orders
- Draft orders work just like any other PO: you can edit them, generate a PDF, or send them to the supplier via email
If no low-stock items are found for the selected supplier, it means all products linked to that supplier are above their critical stock level, or the products don't have a critical stock level configured.
