Now that you have products and warehouses set up, it's time to learn how to manage your inventory with stock transactions. Telesto offers several ways to add and remove stock from your inventory.

Stock In & Stock Out

The most direct way to update your inventory is through the Stock Updater. This is perfect for receiving new inventory or adjusting stock levels.

Steps to Update Stock:
  1. Tap the Stock Updater button on the main screen
  2. Select transaction type: IN (add stock) or OUT (remove stock)
  3. Enter the quantity you want to add or remove
  4. Select your product from the list
  5. Choose the warehouse where this transaction occurs
  6. Tap Submit to complete the transaction
Finding Products Quickly

When you have many products, Telesto provides tools to locate them efficiently:

  • Filter options: Filter the product list by category, warehouse, or supplier
  • Barcode scanner: Use the scanner icon to instantly find products by scanning their barcode
  • Search function: Use the search bar to find products by name
Alternative Methods to Update Stock
Purchase Orders (Stock In)

You can add stock automatically by creating purchase orders and marking them as completed. When the order status changes, the stock quantities are automatically added to your inventory.

Sales Orders (Stock Out)

Sales orders marked as delivered will automatically subtract stock from your inventory when completed.

Advanced Option:
If you've enabled "Current Stock" in settings, you'll see a third transaction type called CURRENT STOCK. This allows you to set exact stock levels without creating IN/OUT transaction records—useful for inventory resets or when you don't need detailed transaction history.

Quick Transactions

For simple, one-off adjustments, you can perform quick transactions directly from individual product profiles. Note that these quick transactions don't include advanced features like batch handling or transport document generation.
